Higher Running is a run coaching company offering individualized coaching and thoughtfully built training plans for road, trail, and ultrarunners.

Our coaching is grounded in evidence-based training principles and shaped by years of real-world experience working closely with athletes. Just as importantly, we care deeply about the humans we coach. We pay attention, communicate clearly, and adapt training to fit your body, your goals, and your life.

Coaching is at the core of what we do. Our training plans are built using the same science-informed methods and thoughtful approach we use with our coached athletes. Whether you work with a coach directly or follow one of our plans, you receive guidance rooted in knowledge, experience, and genuine care.

Our athletes have achieved personal bests, Boston qualifiers, race wins, and strong, joyful finishes across roads, trails, and long adventure days.

1:1 Coaching

Our athletes span a wide range of experience. Some come to us with years of structured training and a strong understanding of performance. Others are earlier in their running journey and looking for guidance, clarity, and a better way forward. What matters most is a willingness to engage in the process and build fitness thoughtfully over time.

We coach road runners, trail runners, and ultrarunners pursuing a variety of goals. Our roster includes athletes learning how to train well, experienced runners chasing personal bests and qualifying standards, and elite competitors preparing for high-level racing.

Our goal in working together is to help you achieve success as you define it, while building a deeper, long-term relationship with an experienced coach who knows you well. Quality care and a sense of joy guide our coaching, because we believe they are essential to long-term development and reaching your highest potential.
